Thank you!

I was going start my first blog with how solar has accounted for over 11% of the energy generated in April but given that it is the 8th of May I think something more befitting.

75 years ago our little island celebrated victory over a life-threatening enemy, the people rallied working together and a nation united as one building tanks and planes and helping with the war effort.at home, food was rationed curfews were applied and blackouts commenced. Posters went up saying “we can do it” and Britons your country needs you and careless talk costs lives, for 5 long years Britons fought the good fight, many parents and wives lost loved ones and families were devastated, remind you of something current.

The Enemy now is an invisible killer and sneaks up when we least expect it has the ability to wipe out families unchallenged and cause devastating consequences. As a nation we have the ability to fight this virus by staying home and protecting our loved ones, there’s no blackout our food rationing just advice to follow. The people who are going to war this time on our frontline are the doctors and nurses the shop workers and paramedics police and fire crews and care, home staff, our call to arms with Briton needs you have been the businesses who have made ventilator parts and the manufactures making gowns and Chris Johnson the 15-year-old army cadet making masks.

Let’s not forget colonel Tom Moore 100 years old and raising over £32 million pounds for the NHS charities, we have seen some true heroes and people have produced some remarkable things for us to listen to and watch whilst we have battled through this and I enclose a link for you to watch some of this it truly is amazing.so Before finishing I would like to add my condolences to everyone who has lost someone through this horrible time and everyone who has a family member who is either ill or recovering from this horrible virus, I wish you a very speedy recovery.

So in finishing I would like to say a massive thank you to all the front line staff who have battled these last few months through the stress and strain of little or no protection and the men and women setting up the nightingale hospitals around the country a very happy V.E Day, and as a great man once said “Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few “and as promised here’s the link good by and God bless
